A 20 year old body but a mind of a 7 year old. Gwosh!!! And to add in, I'm not even consider a teen anymore this year. Darn it. But I'm still hooked on to cartoons!!!
I just watched back my favourite old time cartoon Anastasia.
I don't know why I'm so hooked to this cartoon. Hmm...maybe it's cause of the songs in it. I really love the songs. So, soothing and nice and best of all, I can sing along with the songs. I KNOW THE LYRICS!
The story is touching too. It's not exactly a very famous cartoon back when it was first release in 1997. Oh well, it somehow manage to find it's way into my disc cupboard. And since then, occasionally I'll get it out to watch it.
The story generally revolves around this girl called Anya who lost her childhood memories and was trying to search for her family.
She and another 2 guys, Dimitri and Vlad travelled together to Paris to meet her Royal Highness (Russian Queen; Anastasia Grandmama). The guys lied to Anya so that she can pretend to be Anastasia for them to get the BUNCH of reward from the queen.
Twist, it turned out that Anya is the real Anastasia.
Some fun fact:
Anastasia was actually based on a true history of the Romanovs, a royal family in Russia. Most of the characters in the cartoon are based on true characters during the era. But the roles may have differ slightly or more. There's a lot of uncertainties but who cares! What matters is that the directors made a good job by making the cartoon a success. ;D
But if you insist, you can visit this website Know About Me, Anastasia to know more about the history and how related the cartoon is to the real history of the Romanovs.
I suddenly got the urge to watch old cartoons back also thanks to Dorothy who watched Thumbelina yesterday. I borrowed her the disc. And now she made me want to watch Thumbelina as well. Ahhh~ Dorothy I want my disc back. xD
It feels awesome to be like a kid again! Once in a while....
Here's some of the songs from the cartoon for you to enjoy...
And the song that I love soooooo much....
