As promised in the previous blog, this is the white sake that was used in the Miso Cod marination. The bottle is HUGE.

My efforts to make a great Korean Dinner for my baby kinda went down the drain. Sobs....

I cooked last week for baby at his house. I tried to search for easy to make dishes so there's less hassle passle. And I ended up choosing 2 dishes; Bulgogi (beef) and Pa Jeon (korean pancake).

Here's me making the Pa Jeon first. I decided to make this first because this has more hassle and takes a longer time.

Me mixing the batter for the pancake.

And here comes the spring onions into the batter. I wasn't the camera person. Baby's hand shaky! When taking food picture, hand shaky. When taking my arse picture...

...his hands are surprising steady.

After some frying on the hot oily pan, the end product was....

Look like pizza, no?

Ta Da!! This was rather tasty for my first time in making Korean Dishes. But my baby's an expert in eating, so this didn't make the list of his good food. =(

Then I head on to make the next dish. BULGOGI!

I marinated the beef a few hours before cooking using soy sauce, spring onion, garlic, mirin (japanese sweet cooking oil), sesame oil and salt.

Hours after, I took the sliced beef out of the marinating tupperware and pan fried them on the stove. It's suppose to be grilled but pan fried can be done if no grill is available. But then hor, pan fried didn't really taste good. I don't know the problem lies on the beef or on the marination.

BUT I'm going to blame it on the beef. Hehe! My methods are correct! So, next time I shall buy beef of higher grades.

Bulgogi and Pa Jeon for dinner with a bottle of Red Grapes Sparkling Juice (Ruben bought it just in case I screw up the dinner. He wanted to buy bacons also...just in case...but he didn't).

In the end of the day, the dinner, as I see it was a HALF SUCCESS!!! I'm near there already. Just need more practice and more efforts into making them. Next time I'll make it better. =D

*Hehe...means baby need to endure another of my marvelous cooking. But it's a priviledge to eat the food I cook. And also it's the thoughts that count ma. =P
